BOOK SPECIAL – All “Friends of the Library” sale books priced 50¢ or higher are now half priced through August 30th

            New titles received include:

Four:  A Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth contains a collection of pre-Divergent stories plus three additional scenes from Divergent told from Tobias’ point of view.  Follow Tobias as he transfers from Abnegation to Dauntless, through his Dauntless initiation, finds the first clues to the evil plot to overthrow the current leadership and into the first weeks after meeting Tris Prior.

Close Your Eye, Hold Hands by Chris Bohjalian follows the aftermath of a catastrophic meltdown at a Vermont nuclear power plant.  Emily Shepard is a high school student struggling with a typical adolescence until her comfortable life is torn apart by an accident where her parents are employed.  Orphaned and alone, Emily changes her identity and moves to a bigger city hoping to leave her past behind.  Eventually, Emily finds that she cannot escape her past or her grief and is forced to make a new plan for her life.

To Rise Again at a Decent Hour by Joshua Harris cuts to the heart of modern existence.  Paul O’Rourke seems to have it all but, yet, is a man out of touch with modern life.  Horrified, Paul is the victim as someone impersonates him online all while promoting a little-known ancient religion.  A violation of privacy soon turns soul-frightening with the possibility that virtual “Paul” might be a better version of the man in the flesh.

Perfect for crafters at all levels, ABC Crochet:  An Alphabet Collection of Amigurumi Animals by Mitsuki Hoshi features irresistibly cute amigurumi characters for each letter of the alphabet and the basic techniques you need to know to crochet them.

Don’t forget story time is every Tuesday at 10AM!  The library staff invites everyone to visit the library soon.
