Soon you may notice some new “widgets” here on the blog, on our online catalog, and on our webpage. The Northeast Regional Library recently received a grant from the Mississippi Library Commission that will allow for the implementation of digital resources!
We will offer downloadable audiobooks through OneClickDigital eAudio, downloadable ebooks through OneClickDigital eBooks, and eMagazines through Zinio. Implementation will begin in late July and everything should be fully up and running by Labor Day.
To use these resources you will need: 1) to live in our four county service area, 2) have a valid Northeast Regional Library card, 3) have a current email address, 4) have an Android (including Kindle Fire) or iOS device (tablet or phone), and 5) have downloaded the three apps from either the Apple app store or the Google Play app store.
If you are a self-starting early adopter of technology, you may be able to begin using the resources as soon as they go live in August. If you need more structured help, stay tuned for more information about hands-on instruction beginning in September.
Happy reading everyone!
